Stanford Students Host a Food4Thought Convention on Sustainable Food Systems
Stanford students are bringing some of the biggest names in sustainable agriculture, climate-resilient farming, and food justice to campus for the Food4Thought Festival, a two-day convention running April 17 and 18. The conference, hosted at Stanford University by student organizations focused on food policy and climate, features panels, workshops, a farmers' market of Bay Area producers, and family-friendly activities designed to make the connection between what's on the plate and the health of the planet.
Speakers include regenerative farming practitioners, cellular agriculture founders, academic researchers, and a slate of Bay Area chefs working directly with local growers. The student organizers have built the program around accessibility — most sessions are free and open to the public — and the farmers' market runs both days.
If you're going: the event is on the Stanford campus, with free shuttle service from the Palo Alto Caltrain station during peak hours. Registration is recommended but not required for free sessions. Workshops fill quickly and are first-come, first-served.
